Belated Not So Wordless Wednesday

I don't know if you all have heard about the Northern California fires or not, but it has been going on for awhile now. They have some of it contained, but not fully. It is not near to where I live, but we have been seeing the affects of it here. Some days you can see the hazy sky, and it feels unbelievably muggy. We have had warnings to not be out in this air at times. Despite all this, there is one great effect that happens. The sun turns red. I haven't been able to catch the totally red sun because of where my house is located, and the fact that by the time I go get the camera and try to capture it, it has set considerably.

One day as we we dropped off Showboat to sleepover a friend's, the sun was this beautiful orange color. It wasn't the red I was hoping to catch, but it was stunning nonetheless. I made Stinky pull into a certain spot as we left Showboat's friend's house. Stinky says that I should be in a certain spot to get the entire sun. I said that I wanted to capture the way it looked setting behind the homes. So here it is.

I have seen bits of it here on the news, its so awful for those who live there. I'm surprised you didn't say to Stinky " who's taking the picture"!
