It's a New Day

Showboat is on an 8th grade field trip right now. His final destination? Washington D.C. He along with several other students who went on this trip through the Smithsonian will be at the inauguration today and the ball later. I hope that as those kids are standing there at the inauguration of our new President Barack Obama that they realize what a great opportunity it is to be there, to witness history, to feel hope,to see change, and progress.

I may not be there, but I know how excited I am. I know how I felt on election day. I felt like it's a new day.
