Nature Valley Nut Clusters come in four varities: honey roasted peanut, roasted almonds, nut lovers, and roasted cashew. I started with the honey roasted peanut nut clusters. When I opened the resealable package, the aroma was very tantalizing. Despite that, I was still doubting I was going to like them. Then I pulled one out of the bag. Who knew that my taste buds would get a treat. The nut clusters were just the right combination of savory and sweet. It gets its savory from the nuts and granola, but that touch of honey adds just the right amount of sweetness. For once, I was officially in love with something that was granola!
These nut clusters are also perfect when you are craving something sweet, but don't want something like a candy bar which is like 200 or more calories. Seven clusters are 140. Just eating a couple to satisfy the sweet tooth would definitely cut down on calories for those who watch what they eat. Though I have to be honest, I found it hard to stop after two. :)
I was going to bring a bag of these on vacation, but unfortunately, I had forgotten them. They would have been a perfect snack for the several plane rides we took! Guess I'll just have to remember to buy some for the next time. :)
I saw a coupon for $1.00 off one bag in Sunday's paper. What a great incentive to try a bag. If anyone out there has tried them before or is thinking about it, please let me know what you think of them. I got this feeling you're going to think they are as tasty as I do.
