Why exactly do you want a DIY woodworking design? This is the first of many questions that you should be asking yourself when you get into woodworking. Well truthfully this is only the first of many questions that you should be asking yourself. What kind of projects that you want to build? Am I taking this up as a hobby or a profession? How much time and money can I afford to commit to my woodworking projects? If you have (at least) this much figured out you will have a lot less time trying to figure out what kind equipment you should be purchasing.
Getting the equipment - This is where most people start to fret. Woodworking equipment is really costly ranging from manual handheld to industrial grade. As with anything else you can look at some good bargains for motorized equipment such as table and circular saws. Look up Rockler and Woodcraft these carry good quality and competitively priced equipment for almost any woodworking project conceivable. If you want still better bargains then check out Amazon.com and eBay.com you can find practically any equipment on these sites.
The one thing I make sure is that I always have a good plan or design to follow. No matter what it is I′ m making and no matter how many times I′ ve made it before I always refer back to my design plan.
